The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of the Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. Its primary objective is to develop the personality and character of student youth through voluntary community service.
Objective: Education through community service and community service through education.
Vision: To build youth with a mind and spirit to serve society and work for social uplift.
Mission: “NOT ME BUT YOU” – inspiring youth to serve people.
Activities: Community service, disaster management, social welfare, and promoting national integration and social harmony.
The NSS aims to instill social responsibility, leadership qualities, and democratic attitudes in students, while providing help to those in need and promoting national integration
